Meet Robert Thompson... Having a lifetime of construction-related experience, Robert has built or supervised the construction of several homes in the Washington, D.C. metro area and also in Mathews County.  His thirty years experience includes building inspections, Construction Superintendent, Designer, and Remodelor. In 2000, Robert started ACANTHUS Renovation Company, offering full-service residential architectural design and construction on the Middle Peninsula. 2011 finds Robert preparing for the International Code Conference Certified Building Official exam, to be taken later this year. Meet Robin Thompson... After several years of working in construction administration in Fairfax and in Newport News, Robin took on the unusual role (for a woman) of project superintendent for over ten years. With a keen eye for detail and a desire to build a high-quality home, Robin established her excellent reputation within the industry, with area subcontractors, and, perhaps most importantly, with homeowners in both Newport News and in Williamsburg.  It is here that she earned the name "Hawkeye". In 1999, with more than forty years of combined experience, Robert and Robin teamed up to offer their expertise in home inspections to people moving to the Northern Neck, Middle Peninsula, Richmond Metro and Greater Hampton Roads areas. They enjoy an excellent reputation and working relationship with several area realtors, appraisers, bankers, and, of course, their clients.
